TITLE : USE OF INFORMATION RESOURCES AND SERVICES AMONG THE P.G. STUDENTS OF SLIET, LONGOWAL, SANGRUR : A STUDY

ABSTRACT: The emergence of ICT has revolutionized the working and services of libraries in engineering and technology institutions. It has offered more efficient ways of acquiring, organizing, storing and disseminating or transmitting information. It has also tremendously changed the outlook of the library, library and information professional’s role and image, authority’s attitude, user’s attitude, as well as the way of delivery of services and thus enhanced its use. This paper discusses the current use of the existing library resources, services and facilities of Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology, Longowal, Sangrur by the Post-Graduate students of different departments (M.E / M.Tech. Students). A multi choice questionnaire was designed and personally administered. Data has been collected and analysed into tables for interpretation.
