TITLE : PERCEPTIONS OF RESEARCH SCHOLARS ON USING RESEARCH SUPPORT SERVICES AT JAWAHARLAL NEHRU UNIVERSITY, NEW DELHI: A STUDY

ABSTRACT: This paper examined the research support services for scholarly publishing services and useful programmes offered by the Dr B R Ambedkar Central Library among the Research scholars fo Arts and Humanities departments. A survey method was used with help of a structured questionnaire tool for collecting the data . the researcher was received 89 questionnaire out of 150 with a response rate of 59.33%. The data was coded in excel and analyzed the results and the finding revealed that the majority of the scholars uses Google search (92.1%) for collection of the information. majority of the (77.5%) researchers uses Author search for retrieving information from the library resources. Most of scholars (64.04%) use JSTOR databases. Among the research support services of the scholarly publishing services majority (87.64%) of the scholars uses plagiarism services and remote access service (55.06%). The most of the respondents (87.64%) informed that research methodology courses and exhibitions (80.90%) are the useful programmes conducting by the library and helpful for supporting for research. The scholars opinioned that the research tools like Grammerly  (84.27%) and reference management (82.02%) are useful for research purpose. The respondents expressed that conducting the awareness programme on Author rights will be helpful for scholarly publication activities.
