TITLE : EXPLORING THE ROLE OF ESOPS IN EMPLOYEE MOTIVATION AND RETENTION: COMPARATIVE INSIGHTS FROM LEADING IT COMPANIES IN INDIA AND THE WORLD
ABSTRACT: Employee Stock Ownership Plans have increasingly been recognized as an influential non-monetary incentive mechanism in both the Indian and global IT industries, serving to align the goals of employees with the broader growth of organizations while encouraging commitment and innovation. The aim of this study is to find out how ESOPs have been used as strategic tools by large IT companies to increase employee motivation, lower attrition, and boost performance. It also seeks to evaluate the obstacles faced during implementation, such as challenges in valuation, taxation concerns and compliance requirements.
