ABSTRACT: Research has always been regarded as the most important intellectual activity in the higher education system. This article traced the background of Hospitality and Tourism education in India. It also record the origin and growth of PhD programmer in Department of Tourism & Hotel Management (DTHM) in Kurukshetra University Kurukshetra. This article provides data on PhD theses in the department of Tourism & Hotel Management. It includes lists candidates registered for PhD, their supervisor and major areas of research in above fields.
