The research aims to map the intellectual structure, identify emerging trends, and analyze the social media impact of scholarly publications in this rapidly evolving domain. Given the unprecedented global attention to misinformation issues following recent political events and the COVID-19 pandemic, understanding how this research area has developed is crucial for both the academic community and practitioners working to combat information disorders.
