ABSTRACT: The collection development is a major significant process of any library to develop the reading material of the library to cater the information needs of the users. Technical Universities are the backbone in the field of engineering, sciences and technology education of the country. In this academic, research, and digital environment the collection development policy is feeling a symbolic conversion because of variety of electronic resources are easily available on cloud. The present paper highlights the last five year collection development, policy, weeding policy and role of Library Purchase Committee of the University Library in electronic environment. This paper is hereby attempted on the basis of familiarity.
