TITLE: IMPORTANCE OF INFORMATION AMONG THE RESIDENTS OF GIRLS HOSTEL: A STUDY OF KURUKSHETRA UNIVERSITY KURUKSHETRA

ABSTRACT: This work is regarding the information needs and its importance for the female residents of girl’s hostel in Kurukshetra University. Maximum female respondents are from post graduate stream 59 (47.2%). Maximum female 96 (76.8%) residents required information on entertainment. Internet is the major source to get information and 112 (89.6%) female are using this particular source. 92 (73.6%) females required information on mess charges. Hostel notice board is the major source of information for females of Kurukshetra University.
